Mumbai, earlier known by the name Bombay, is the capital city of the Indian state Maharashtra. It lies in the Konkan division of Maharashtra along the west coast of India, touching the Arabian Sea. Spread across the area of over 630 sq. km, Mumbai has two major segments- Mumbai Suburbs and Mumbai city.
