One of the most beautiful and highly visited hill stations of India, Nainital is a part of the Naintal district in the Indian state Uttrakhand. Spread over a total geographical area of 4251 Sq. kilometers, Nainital comprises the hilly area and the Bhabhar. To its north lies the Almora district and to its south the Udham Singh Nagar district. Nainital is situated at a distance of about 304 km from Delhi and 388 km from Lucknow. Kathgodam, which is the terminal station of the North Eastern Railway, is almost 34 km from Nainital.
