Listed as one of the Priority Towns or Regional Centres of the NCR, Bhiwadi is a small and beautiful town situated at Tijara Tehsil in Alwar, a district of Rajasthan. Also called as the Gateway of Rajasthan, Bhiwadi has an excellent connectivity with Delhi, Jaipur, Gurgaon and Rajasthan due to its close proximity with NH-8, the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway on the Dharuhera- Sohna Road. Spread across an area of about 5,300 acres, Bhiwadi is placed at a distance of 55 km from IGI Airport, Delhi and 40 km from Gurgaon.
Bhiwadi has all the amenities and facilities that a well developed and planned town should be equipped with, i.e. post office, police station, fire station, drinking water supply, government hospitals, banks, telecom network, schools, transport etc. Bhiwadi is also a hub of about 2,700 big, medium as well as small scale industries like steel, textile, pharmaceutical, cable, printing, glass, and many more. The Tapukara Industrial Area on the Bhiwadi- Alwar Road, NH-71 B is one of the major attractions of the town.
